Day Fifty One

Woke up this morning after 4 hours of sleep to do my homework. Instead I made the mistake of sampling this new book I picked up yesterday that was supposed to be for my subte rides to Zack's house. I couldn't put it down. Its called Tuesdays with Morrie. If you haven't ever read it, you should. Its a quick read but its fantastic.

It was pouring rain today, absolutely pouring. Probably 3 days like this and you have more precipitation that Boise gets in a year. The subtes closed because of flooding, but it was nice because it cooled the city down. Between the rain, this fantastic new book, and my feet hurting (yes my heels are beyond sore from all my trekking around yesterday) I decided to take a personal day. Made a pot of coffee and skipped class to read my book and take an afternoon nap to make up for the last two nights lack of sleep. Seriously, couldn't put this book down.

In the late afternoon though I finally did because I got restless. So I took a walk and ended up back in Recoleta where I had watched Led Zeppelin the night before. Figured I might as well watch James Bond since I was there. Met some very nice people as well as made friends with the guy sitting next to me in the theatre who I think might like James Bond as much as I do so we naturally hit it off. Great movie!!! Loved it!

Walking back I took a wrong turn and stumbled across the Recoleta Cemetary, the final resting place of Eva Peron or Evita:

It was closed up for the night but I've heard its one of the must sees in Buenos Aires so I am going to go back and check it out tomorrow if the weather is nice!

And now that this is done I'm going to climb into bed and finish up my book! Hasta Mañana!
