Day 137

Seeing as we all stayed out till 6 last night there was no morning surfing session. We did all make a big breakfast around 11 when we woke up. Then it was off to the SurfNet to email and call the grandparents as we continue to plan their trip to visit. Can’t wait until everything is booked and set in stone.  I returned to the hostel to find Terry and three of the girls we have been hanging out with the last two nights. They had to check out of their apartment but their bus wasn’t until 6 so they had come over in lack of other places to hang out. However Terry and I had a paintball date with each other which of course took priority over entertaining these girls, but Terry asked them if they wanted to join us and incredibly they said yes.

The paintball area was basically someone’s backyard but with a few obstacles set up. It was incredibly low budget but so perfect. We played girls versus guys and surprising Terry and I got shot way more than we hit them the first round. But the second round we brought more intensity and had the three of them screaming for mercy. The third round was me versus Terry at which point we started at opposite corners and charged full speed at each other not caring for protection and blasting all the way through our ammo in a bout 1 minute of consistent firing from less than 10 feet away heads turned from each other but firing full speed and taking massive damage. It was such a fun afternoon.

Mike said it best, “I am so incredibly jealous of you two. You spend two nights clubbing with these girls and then you take them out and get to shoot them!”

Late night surf session at Puntia but the current was really strong. I made it 3 for 3 on waves attempted but it took so long to paddle back out to the lineup so it was still frustrating but awkwardly blended with satisfaction.

Straight from the beach to the shower and then to the restaurant for Super Bowl Sunday! We had a decent group of us and a bunch Chileans came in and watched it too but I think they were observing Americans watching the Superbowl more than they were watching the Superbowl themselves.
